Terms
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms cover this website and the HeardOf audit (“we”). By using the site or an audit, you agree to them. How we handle personal data is on the privacy page.
An invite-only service
Audits are run a few at a time by a person. Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an audit, and we may decline or withdraw an invitation. Fees, scope and timing for an audit are agreed with you in writing before it starts.
What the results are, and aren’t
AI assistants don’t give the same answer twice. We ask each question several times on each engine and report how often you are named, as a measured estimate with a confidence interval, not an exact figure. A different sample, a different day or a model update can give a different number.
We can’t control what ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google or any other engine does. We don’t guarantee that you will be recommended, ranked, cited or sent traffic, before or after the fixes. The sample report is illustrative.
Your site and your changes
- You confirm that you are allowed to have the sites you give us audited.
- We only visit public pages, as a normal visitor would, and take screenshots of them.
- Our fixes are recommendations. You decide what to deploy, and you are responsible for reviewing, testing and backing up anything you change on your site.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the site or the free check to:
- break the law or anyone else’s rights;
- get into accounts, reports or data that aren’t yours, or probe our security;
- overload the service, get around its limits or scrape it automatically;
- share your sign-in links, which are personal to you.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
Reports
Your report is for your organisation’s own use. Your site’s content stays yours. Our methods, software and report format stay ours.
Liability
The website and the free check are provided as they are, without warranties. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, or for what third-party engines do. Our total liability for an audit is limited to the fees you paid us for it. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. For questions, reply to any email we have sent you.
